Galleywood cc - Batsmen's wagon wheels

The wagon-wheels here were generated from a Friendly game on 7th Sept 2019.
The game was played at their home ground which has pretty small boundaries.
No.1 J.Adams.
Decent batsman good technique, good defense and the ability to score all around the ground.
Didn't get to see him against slow bowlers. Eventually out to swing-bowler P.Ellis. Double click on the Youtube image for the fall of Adam's wicket.

No.2 Brace
Wicket taken by my son Joe Thompson - Top edged caught by wicket keeper as indicated having gone high into the sky vertically.

No.3 C.Murray
Another decent bat but with a potentially more manageable wagon wheel. A lot of the runs were made off our off-spinners bowling, who kept tossing the ball up and eventually bowled Murray. Double click on the page below to see how he was dismissed by Rob Brooks.

Bat No.4 - C.Hicks
Bowled by Tim Edmonds - Hicks looked good - aggressive and only really dealing in 4's and was taking the bowling apart. Thankfully Tim Edmonds got him with the first ball of his spell. Click on the image below for the wicket.

M.Singh No.5

A good player, not out for 53 in this game batting against our 2nd and 3rd change bowlers in a friendly game at the end of the season. As I recall he was good at placing the ball and was hitting them along the ground and then when the ball was in the slot he went over the top, he looked like he knew what he was doing. How he'd have done against my son Joe Thompson the opening bowler I'm not sure, but he looked very organised and I've liked to have seen that encounter rather than our other bowlers. No footage of Singh unfortunately on video.
N.Clayden No.6
No real re-collection of Clayden (I'm writing this several months later). But looking at his wagon wheel and the scorebook he wasn't hanging around.
9/5/22 - Played as a 5th XI player in a friendly against Galleywood's 4th XI at Wickford Memorial Park. A couple of Blokes looked threatening and gave me a bit of a going over, so I've got an approximation of their approach which may be useful if you play against them. No images though, just the wagon wheels...
J.Brown

If you're a slow bowler and you're not getting the ball to turn he'll come at you mainly hitting you through the leg-side. Choose the bigger boundary option end and have your fittest catchers and you might get him caught in the deep? Other than that mix it. I got him with a Top-spinner and he was caught out by the additional bounce.
Cerson

Cerson got off to a good start and looked promising but was run out. Possibly a similar approach to J. Brown above. To be honest their innings were relatively short, but the thing to take away from this is they have the ability to score runs and ruin your bowling figures.

    1. Hmm, I might have done another 2? I'll have to have a look and add if I get time. It's so time consuming though.
